This week was Spring Break at my daughter's school. We spent Monday - Wednesday at Southern Cross Horse Ranch and loved every minute of it!
Monday: Jogged 2 miles on the treadmill. Left knee started hurting at 1.2 miles. Stopped to stretch at 1.2 miles and did so again a little while later. Walked briskly last half-mile. Did a 2-hour horse trail ride in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Cross training: walking + horse trail ride in morning and afternoon. FUN!
Wednesday: Cross training: walking + horse trail ride in morning and afternoon. FUN!
Thursday: Cross training: walked 1 mile with dogs.
Friday: Easy 2.5 mile jog. A little knee discomfort, but no sharp pain. Decided to not run on consecutive days and to slowly increase distance of each run.
Saturday: Cross training: walked 1 mile with dogs.
Sunday: Easy 2.57 mile jog. Knee didn't hurt, but right shin was tight during first mile. stopped several times to stretch it out/walk to loosen it.
Days run this week: 3
Miles run/walk this week: 7.07
Highlight of the week: Horse riding + knee doesn't hurt
Goal for next week: slowly increase mileage
