Chicago, here we come

Monday: Jogged 2.22 miles on the treadmill. Goal was 3 miles but became hypoglycemic so had to stop. After dinner, walked a mile with daughter and dogs at the nearby park. This was fun, but was disappointed to find a flat tire on the car when we returned to the parking lot :(. Good thing NTB was open til 9 to get it repaired...

Wednesday: Jogged 3 miles on the treadmill.

Thursday: I received an email that said that the Chicago marathon registration was closed. This prompted me to call Ty to ask if she had made hotel reservations for us yet. She hadn't, but did so immediately. She found a better deal than I had found in my initial research. Our hotel is about a mile from the race start/finish. Now I'm excited! Afterwards, I took my daughter to her swim lesson and jogged 3.3 miles on the trail at the aquatic center. On my last lap, I noticed baby ducklings in the pond. When I finished, I walked over to the pond to take a photograph with my phone camera. It isn't the greatest photo... I wish I had taken one when I first saw them while running since there were about a dozen ducklings then, but only two when I stopped. I also wish I had my higher quality digital camera. Oh well...

Sunday: Jogged 3.5 miles on the treadmill. This is the longest run since the half-marathon. No pain, so yippee!!!

Days run this week: 4
Miles run this week: 12.02
Highlight of the week: ran farther + knee doesn't hurt
Goal for next week: continue slowly increasing mileage
